Product description: The related monoalkyl ethers of ethylene glycol and propylene glycol are colorless and transparent liquids with a faint ether smell. They are miscible with water, alcohols, ketones, ethers, esters, aromatic hydrocarbons, aliphatic hydrocarbons, etc., and can dissolve many types high polymer. Related ethylene glycol monoalkyl ethers refer to alcohol ethers synthesized from ethylene oxide and alcohol, with ethoxy groups (molecular formula C2H4O) in the molecular chain, also known as glycol ethers or E-series Alcohol ether, but does not contain ethylene glycol or diethylene glycol monobutyl ether. Related propylene glycol monoalkyl ethers refer to alcohol ethers synthesized from propylene oxide and alcohols with propoxy groups (molecular formula C3H6O) in the molecular chain. They are also called propylene glycol ethers or P-series alcohol ethers. Contains propylene glycol methyl ether.

  Main uses: The related monoalkyl ethers of ethylene glycol and propylene glycol are mainly used as solvents, dispersants and diluents, as well as fuel antifreeze and extractants. They are also important organic synthetic raw materials and are widely used in photoresists and coatings. Copper plates, electronic chemicals, automobile brake fluids, aircraft fuel anti-icing agents, coating materials, printing inks, textile printing and dyeing, pharmaceuticals and pesticides, daily chemicals and other fields.

  This product is listed in the "Import and Export Tariff of the People's Republic of China": 29094400 and 29094990. Products other than the monoalkyl ethers of ethylene glycol and propylene glycol under tariff number 29094990 are not within the scope of this investigation.

3. Application for investigation of the import of products

From 2016 to 2019, the number of imported products applied for investigation increased significantly. In 2016, the import volume was 18,000 tons. In 2017, it increased to 24,000 tons. Since then, it has exceeded 30,000 tons in 2018 and 2019. The cumulative increase during the four-year period reached 68.59%.
